RootsAI Foundation is building a future where ancestral wisdom and artificial intelligence grow together. Through programs like the Cultural Conservation Corps, RootsAI Labs, and the Commons, we train youth to become stewards of their languages, cultures, and data. Our mission is to protect heritage, preserve language, and shape AI systems that are inclusive, just, and rooted in community.

This is not just about technology. It’s about sovereignty, storytelling, and designing the future in conversation with the past.

We work at the intersection of culture and computation, of story and system. Every tool we build—every dataset, every curriculum, every local GPT—is co-created with communities, guided by elders, and rooted in the values that sustain life.
